One Degree of Difference

At 211 degrees Fahrenheit, water is super hot. But it won’t boil. Ever.

But in just one degree, it starts to boil. That one degree makes all the difference between really, really, swear-like-a-sailor hot water, and water that boils.

In the same way, a person who gives an extra hour or two a day to their passion can go from being good to being great.

It can be hard, but life’s hard. Anyone who tells you differently is selling you something. It’s also probably not what anyone wants to hear. We all want to become successful/rich/famous/happy with the least amount of work possible. It’s just how we’re wired.

But if you’re truly passionate about something, then you should be willing to spend time doing it, whether it’s writing, math, science, sports, or just a hobby.

If you’re willing to give up something you love for another thing you love, then you can become great.

Says the teenager who never updates on time. Maybe I’m just passionate about Netflix and never sleeping…😅
