Since people have showed interest in my blog, I thought I’d do a little introduction!
My name is Tess, and I have been writing since I was about 6 years old. I wish I could say that my first book was a masterpiece, but it kinda sucked.
When I was eight, I got the best writing advice I have received, even to this day. And it came from my left-brained engineer father. “Have you though of an ending yet?”
After many failed attempts at getting through an entire manuscript, I discovered a little thing called NaNoWriMo halfway through November 2012, and through it, finished a 50,018 word novel in two weeks. It was my greatest progress, and something I am so glad I found.
I have participated in and won NaNoWriMo ’12, ’13, and ’15, and it remains the greatest source of inspiration.
I have made a decision to stop work on my current story The Heir (which I have rewritten at least three times now) in favor of a story that I have been developing for literally seven years, It Begins. It was the current NaNo winner, and I’m very happy with how it turned out!
